Hat
Hats help cover your kid’s head and ears on cold chilly days.
Parka
During cold winters, it can be hard to do outdoor activities without a jacket. You should make sure the jacket you buy is water-resistant as you wouldn’t want your kid to end up falling sick.
Boots
Boots must be worn during winter to keep your kid’s feet warm and dry. A good pair of well-fitted waterproof and insulated boots are very important. Choose boots that have a warm lining and rubber soles. Make sure the boots fit well with thick winter socks.
Snow Bibs
Snow Bibs protect your child’s midsections from the harsh cold weather and snow. Try to choose a bib that has an extendable cuff.
Neck Gaiter
Neck Gaiters are better than scarves as they are easy to wear. They fit easily under the parkas that have zipped right up to the chin.
Gloves/Mittens
A good pair of waterproof and insulated gloves will be easy to wear. You can slide these gloves over really thick sleeves as well.
Long underwear
A warm long underwear is required when your kids go to play or ski. The best options are all-wool or silk-wool underwears.
Balaclava
Balaclavas are great if you’re to cover your kid’s full face. It will help you protect your kid from wind getting in between his/her ears and neck.
Helmet Liner
If your kid is going to ski, play hockey or cycle, a helmet liner is necessary.
Snowsuits
If your child likes to play in the snow for a long time, then you should consider buying a snowsuit for him/her.
Scarves
Scarves can be worn around jackets, sweaters, and suits.
So this winter, make sure that your grade-schooler is protected from the harsh cold weather by having the right winter essentials for him/her.
