5 Desserts That Don’t Cause a Blood Sugar Spike
Just because you have diabetes, you don’t need to throw desserts out of your life. You can occasionally indulge in sugar-free dessert recipes. For people with diabetes, along with taking medicines and adopting certain lifestyle measures, the number of calories per meal needs to be controlled to manage blood sugar levels. So, if you want to eat a dessert (even when it is low in sugar), factor in the total calorie consumption rather than the presence of sugar. It is best to consult with your doctor about the guidelines for eating desserts.
